An old-time, open-pollinated, heirloom spinach dating back to the 19th century. Dark green, glossy, crinkly leaves stand up well to summer heat and are exceptionally tender and tasty. Buttery sweet and never bitter. Can also over-winter for spring eating. Heavy yielding, time-tested variety.
