Mesclun means a "mixed-up mess of baby greens." They are great when looking for variety in a hurry - a diverse assortment of small leaves can be picked daily for salads. You can pick individual leaves or shear off the whole patch about 2cm (1") from the ground. The plants will re-grow and can be cut again. Easily grown in containers where space is limited.
Sow seeds outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring. Plant seeds 1" apart and 1⁄4" deep. Seeds will germinate in 7-14 days.
