Old Amish heirloom, absolutely wonderful, one of our very most favourite tomatoes. Vigorous plants produce heaps of large, meaty, bright red fruits from mid-summer to frost. Juicy, great flavor for cooking, canning, or fresh eating. Shapes range from ox-heart to teardrop to almost beefsteak. Not fancy, but a true workhorse. We can’t say enough about this great variety. 75-85 days.
40 seeds/pktSeeds need to be started indoors 6-7 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4" deep in a light soil mix; harden off & plant out 24 - 48" apart, in not too rich a soil, after all danger of frost is over. Tomatoes benefit from staking.
